The City Of.......Light's

Kris walked back into the bus and treated Jerry's leg again. She gave him something to eat and some water so he had something in his stomache before they had to leave. She placed everything on his bench and sat up his pillow and blanket there too. After taking care of him, she took out the empty vial solution in her pocket and took out her microscpoe set in a box. She examine the solution for a few minutes and sisn't notice a lot of a change in anything. It didn't seem as affective, but it was a bit stronger. Then kris had an idea. She took out one of her old solutions, and grabbed something from her bag. She read the bottle and opened it up into a bowl. Vitamin C pills spilled in it and she pounded them into a powder and mixed them in a solution. The solution turned orange, then clear. She tested it on a zombie blood sample and examined it for a while.

Diesel barked loudly at the door of the bus. He had a napkin tucked in his back pack...(yes this dog has a back pack...) It was barely visible as it protruded from a small side pocket.

"damn, now why did he do that?" light said as he pulled out of the front door of the building, watching Garret go.

Kris walked out of the bus to Diesel. She noticed that something was wrong, and that he wouldn't just go off on his own like this. She tried to figure out what might be going on, then she saw something sticking out of it's backpack. She looked at it curiously and saw some writing on it. She pulled it out and read it once.... then read it again. She couldn't belive it and that he left on his own. She looked down at Diesel who was still whining, and scrathced him behind the ears. She didn't know what to do now, and she was the group's only medic. The others might be up to go find him. Her mind went blank as she went through everything and her face was expressionless. Tesars welled up in her eyes and she started to cry. After a second, she had to wipe them away. She had to tell the others. Kris walked inside to tell the others, but she noticed something near her microscope set. Kris looked down and saw something wrong with the cure from before. It was changing colors, but with the other sample as she looked through the microscope, the solution seemed to be helping the white blood cells, and the color turned lighter. She might of found a new cure that could work, then she thougt of Garett who just left and gasped. She needed to go after him before he turned into a zombie and tell the others, but she was too stunned to even move.

Kurt was busy pinning the blame on himself in his head, When Kris looked at the microscope stunned.He got up and walked closer.
"What is it, Kris?"
It was almost painful for Kurt to talk to Kris.

"I was fine this whole time, really. I've been hoping some survivors would pass me, I was running outta supplies and don't know how much longer I coulda held up without leaving this sanctuary." Raine said to the man. She then began to attack him with numerous questions.
"What's your name? Who are you? What are you doing here? Are you alone? Where are you from? How did you escape infection for so long? When did your city start getting attacked? What do you know about this? Do you need help?" There were more questions Raine would have liked to ask the man, but she realized he probably couldn't keep up with the amount she had given him already, and she was being terribly rude as she had yet to introduce herself.
"I'm sorry, that was rude of me. My name is Raine Jimana, medical surgeon from Boston, Massachusetts, and you are?"

Light gave orders to Griff, "Go try and find a way up to them from the inside," He lept out after griff, and ran into the building. He went up 3 flights of stairs, and...

Kris took a glance over to Kurt, then back down into the microscope where she was switching slides.

"Apparently I have found out that the cure Jack gave us, is not that much more affective as the one I gave to Garett. Then when I added vitamin C to the one I made earlier, it increased it's strength and now the virus that was destroying the blood cells and mutating them are growing weaker. The white blood cells, which were originally the cells that destroy viruses or 'intruders', are growing stronger from the new vial and are capable to fight against the virus. I don't know how long it would last but so far, the blood sample on this slide is getting cleaned and turning back to normal again."

Kris began to smile at herself for having to explain everything and how it sounded hopeful. However Garett was still out there and could change within hours. maybe three at the very most. She stopped mid thought of it and suddenly felt a little afraid.

"Oh and if we don't find Garett soon and give him this newer vial.... it could be too late for him."

Kurt's mouth hung open.
"Hahaha.....Wait, What?"
Kurt didn't have a fuckin clue what Kris just said.

Kri looked at Kurt and scratched her head as she tried to think of something simpler to explain to Kurt.

"Well basically I found a better cure than the one Jack had, and Garett has the cure in him that was Jack's. If we don't find him soon enough and give him this new one, he'll turn into a zombie too, and we might be too late.... I don't think he has very long though, three hours at the most."

Micheal smiled "the name's Micheal Stanton, and ill tell you everything you need to know once we get outside, follow me, and be careful" he leapt out of the window and onto the lower balcony, he called up to her "come down, if you fall ill catch you"

Asi finally got out of the Jeep (yeah, he was drinking some wodka all the time or so, i dunno) and walked to the bus. There he lay down on one of the benches, just like Jonathan.

Raine closed her eyes. One...Two...Three... She opened them again and jumped down to where Michael was. Not too shabby! Raine thought, brushing herself off, she grinned widely and walked over to Michael.

Kurt nodded hishead and walked to the window. He had to get away from Kris. He looked out the window for Michael. "There he is." He opened up the window and yelled out.
"HEY MIKE! LET'S GO, IT'S TIME TO HAUL ASS!!!!"

Kris sctached her head and thought about some things for a second. Remembering how upset Kurt when he caught her and Garett kiss had added a load on her mind now too. She puts the slides away, made some new medicine and puts them away. She leaned against the counter and kept her eyes on the ground as she thought again, and after a second she looked up at Kurt.

"Hey listen Kurt I'm sorry how I seemed to make you.... upset earlier. I'm really sorry and I didn't know you would feel hurt that much or anything."

Kurt tried to pay Kris no mind. He couldn't.
"Don't appologize. I should be the one doing that. It's all my fault anyway."
Kurt Shut the window.

"But still I should of known or something. And I don't like to see my friends hurt like that."

It was hard for her to explain it. She is one of the only two girls left that they know of that's still around. Who knows when they'll run into someone else.

Kurt looks at Kris with a "Who gives a shit?" frown.
"People get hurt.It happens.It's sad but true.....Just gotta live with that."

Kris nodded with an apologetic and thoughtful expression as she thought more.

"Yeah I guess.... still friends right?"

Kurt shrugged.
"I don't know. I never had friends before, so I don't know how it works...."

Kris tried to think of how to explain how a whole friendship thing works, but she's sure that Kurt would catch on soon enough.

"Well then I'll be your friend, and what you do is try to help eachother out, talk, and if someone feels really bad about something or they're just in some sort of pain, you try your best to comfort them.... come to think of it, there are a lot of things friends can do. Just try to be a good person to eachother and the others and you'll grow more friends. So what do you say?"

Kurt was kinda confused but nodded his head anyway.
"Yeah, Sure."
