Personality: Once a funny and caring guy, Rick is now cold and nearly heartless. He believes that the virus is the way to the world's reformation, and will do his best to infect everyone on the planet. The main person he wants to infect is Max, wanting him to help him reform the world.

Looks:

Items: Staff: A staff with a telescopic pole, this has a small golden bird on the top. The wings of the bird are sharpened, allowing them to be used as a weapon. The staff also has a small retractable blade that can protrude 1 foot from the bottom. Normally 1'3", the staff is able to extend to 4' long. This was one of the "sacred" weapons the Phoenixes had.
Virus Book: A small book with information collected about different types of zombies. Rick continues to write in this book as he learns more about the virus.

Setting History: Rick was at Max's dad's lab when the infection hit, but instead of being infected there, he was dragged out by a hunter, where he was infected and reborn as a vizier.

History: Rick was Max's dad's best friend since elementary school. They were so close, that when Max was born, Rick was thought of as his uncle. Rick was a part of an organization called "The Phoenixes" that believed that the world would end, but be reborn a more peaceful world. When the infection hit and he was infected, he thought that this was the reformation he dreamt of. Max had been inducted shortly after his mother died, but Rick knows he has no memory of it. Because Max is a Phoenix, Rick wants him to help with the spread of the infection.
