Dawn of Trust

Garett laughed and clenched onto his hand.

"Since when did you care about me living or not...If remember right, you were ready to kill me earlier."

Ed pulled up next to Kris, "You lovebirds finished making up or can we get the bloody hell out of here?"

Once Michael got into Kip's car (didnt know what else to do you guys kinda left me and Jerid out) he followed close behind plowing through zombies as he drove.

"What's all the commotion i saw Garret holding his hand what happened" Kip asked somewhat concerned.

Kris sped forward and onto a regular road. Then she responded to Kip and Ed through the radio as he followed behind.

"Well Garett here got bitten by that hunter zombie back there.... and we're working on getting out of here Ed. I just don't know where exactly Garett wants me to go."

She got off the radio with Kip and brought her attention to Garett.

"I wasn't trying to kill you, it was a reaction. I had a nightmere thaat someone or something tried to grab me. Then you grabbed my shoulder and shook me, and I thought my nightmere was reality. That's why I pulled out my knife, simply on instinct. Just a simple misunderstanding.... And with you being bitten, it could of been me or anyone else in our group. I don't even know if there are others out there but now we're a team, and I'm not gonna sit by and watch my comrads fall."

Without realizing at first, Kris just realized that the last comment she just said sounded something like what her father would say, being a military man and all. He would take action and try to do his part to help his comrads, his friends.

"Now which way are we going to go?"

"Shit, that means he will turn, Kris I hope you know how to fix this, because right now, well you know my solution" He said in a very hesitant voice, he had actually gotten along with Garret last night he really didn't want to shoot him.


Kip turned to Michael. "I hope your friend is Okay". Kip patted Ankh on the head he was whimpering for the fact he wasn't used to sitting in the back.

A lot of pressure now was on kris. She was their only medic so far, and Garett was going to turn into one of them if something isn't done soon. That fact didn't help with a whole bunch of other pressure she's being put threw either. Kris picked up the mic again after listening to Kip.

"Yeah I've done some studies last night, and I think I know something that could help, at least to slow the virus down from spreading all over through his vains. But we need to stop somewhere where I can pick up some quick supplies like needles and certain medications. Maybe at a hospital?"

"I've got needles and some med supplies in my trunk, but its basic stuff I don't know if it will help much, all I know is we need to act fast" he responded hopefully

Diesel whimpered besides Garett. "It's okay boy..." Garett patted his head with his non-infected hand. He looked to Kris...."Just get to your hospital...We'll stop there, and I'll drive from there on out..." Garett looked at his hand...."I aint gonna make it...Am I?"

Kris kept looking at the road as she was lost in thought. They were about a mile away from the nearest town, the nearest hospital too. She took a quick glimpse at Diesel who was whimpering and upset that Garett might not make it.

"I'm not a hundred percent sure. The odds are.... close. But I won't give up on trying. I think I might know how the virus works and how we can prevent it from spreading.... I just need you to trust me for once."

She bit her lip and tried to think of something encouraging to say. The odds weren't good so far. It was almost even, 53- 47 to be exact. By now they were getting into city limits, and the nearest hospital was a few blocks away. Nothing seemed to move, but they still have to be cautious. Kris pulls out the mic to speak to everyone.

"Nothing seems to be moving now, and I don't see anything yet. I'm warning all of you to be VERY careful. And everyone watch eachother's backs. We need to get to the hospital as soon as possible, then after that we'll head on out again."

Kurt reached down at at the radio, hearing Kris' message.
"Got It. And Garret, if you can hear this, you better not die on me, douche."

Micheal was shaking off the shock of seeing Garett injured "Garett.....no bro, you cant go man" he shook his shoulder a bit "who's gonna watch my ass out there man....you know ill be zombie chow in 5 minutes if you aren't here" he choked back tears, though it was obvious he was on the verge, he had some kind of sudden realization "Kris hand me your Laptop" he stretched out his hand for it, the thought that she might say no didn't cross his mind

"Eh fuck you man...I'm fine...." Garett held his hand and looked down at it. "Close odds eh? Well if the odds work against me...Make sure someone takes care of Michael and Diesel...As you can see they are hopeless with out me..." Garett turned to Michael. "Suck it up man...I'll be fine..."

Kris tried to ignore everything around her just so she could think about the procedures she might need to do to slow down the virus, or even stop it. Micheal had taken her laptop and was looking something up now that she was unsure about. Soon enough they were in front of the hospital. Kris pulled out her gun and got out of the jeep looking around cautiously. No sign of zombies anywhere.... yet. She reached back for her backpack with her notes in it.

"Come on. I might have better chances if I borrow a few things in that hospital. Kip bring in those supplies you said you have in your trunk."

"If you promise to stop that talk, I'll guarantee to look after both of them all right mate?"

Kris pursed her lips and tried to think again. Sfter a second she takes out her backpack and reloads her gun again with newer bullets and started to walk into the hospital. She kept her eyes moving for anything out of the ordinary.

Jim was riding his motorcycle and noticed some people. He stopped.

As Kris was starting to walk up the outside stairs of the hospital, she heard someone coming. She turned and saw a motorcycle driving down the street and stop in front of everyone. So there are more survivors than just us.

Jim walked towards them. "What happened?"

"If you're gonna kill me, you should be more quiet." Jim said noticing Kurt.

"He's right. We need to try to stay silent. Come on, especially you Garett. We need to treat that infection as quickly as possible."

Kris continued to walk up the stairs, then opened the door to the empty lobby room. She looked around and continued in.

"Can you even cure it." he says doubtfully.

Kurt backs up a little from Jim, and walks into the hospital with Kris, still cluthing his machete.
"Don't you think it's a Bad idea to be in a hospital while the dead are coming back to life?"
